The grounds of the farm and the Collection lend themselves to a wide variety of events. We are currently planning topiary courses, talks on the species Ilex and craft workshops involving holly branches and berries. More details of these will follow shortly.
In December members of the Country Landowners Association joined for a tour of the holly plantation and a workshop on making seasonal garlands out of holly foliage.
As part of the current fund-raising drive for Alton Abbey we gave a talk and slide-show at the Abbey. The talk was followed by a demonstration of the making of Yerba Mate tea and a tasting.
The collection was visited by members of the Beech Village Gardening Society. Details of their visit, including some attractive photographs they took, can be found on their website.
